I have one, too. Not for sale, either. An incredibly sharp lens, even wide open!

A few weeks ago two of these lenses were sold through the Auction at Christies for somewhere around $5.600 each.

Well, I am skeptical with that store... They have plenty of things but make a surprising generic reply when you ask for details for a given item. I even tried
to go to their store in NYC (they are located in midtown Manhattan, a block away from Adorama...). I only found a closed door in 17th Street within an old
bouilding, with absolutely no indications about the store!! Did someone purchased something from them??

You are right about the 17th Street store. I was there about 1986 or so. I don't know if
that one is still open. I did a Google search and under "Repairs" they say their address is now at : 34 Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205 and there is a contact number at: Danny Lang at: (718) 858 5002 I don't know if that will help, but good luck. In the past, they always had ads in all the backs of Photo magazines. By the way, take a look at E-bay. I saw a slew of these rare lens up for auction too. |

A correction | ||||||||||||

Hello, I just said there were a slew of them on e-bay and I stand corrected.
There are 15mm F3.5 there right now. The 13mm are most rare. When I take photos with my 15mm f3.5, its a pleasure. If you have something in the foreground only a foot in front of the lens, that item and everything in the background is in total focus. The 13mm must be even better in that regard too. If you do see a 13mm, you will only marvel at the engineering that when into it. It's truly a work of art just to look at. |
