I came across a Mint in box F-36 motor drive kit in boxes (actually in 3 boxes for each part). Just wanted to check whether it will fit to my Nikon F and match it considering my Nikon F is chrome and the F-36 drive is black? What would be a reasonable price for F-36 drive Mint in box? If not forget it. If it is , they , camera and motor, would still need to be matched . Price, whatever a fool wants to pay. $:\$

It's been used with three different F bodies and I've never had to individually adjust/ match operation other than to attach motor plate each time. Less than $750 for a MEW BOXED SET is, from my point of view, a bargain... A mint Gray Battery Pack would make the set much more expensive. A brown battery pack might be more valuable than a black leather one. If the Voltmeter comes with the set, price should be $300-$600 more expensive. A Cordless Battery Pack matches later F-36/Nikon F versions (69XXXXX and later blocks, such as a Nikon F Photomic FTn). By the way, placing a Motor-Drive plate is extremely easy, and that's all you have to do to transform your Nikon F into a motorized body. Please ask for directions if needed: jrcerve0@yahoo.com.

Well yes and no... if you do not have the adjustment washers to go under the adjusting screws, and if you do not have a way to test your work, you will have success which varies from working perfectly to jamming your camera. In 99% of the cases the camera will appear to be working fine, but at some speed may be advancing before the shutter has completed its cycle.

Guess that I'm the lucky guy who has had a 100% success installing F-36 plates. To be honest, not that much plates (nor I'm a repairman). By the way, I would really appreciate to know what the washers are, and which's the procedure to adjust them, if you can disclose it. Happy yuku! Jose.

It has been awhile since they are out of business, or I have owned and S motor drive. I just now looked through my Nikon F parts manual, but could not identify the exact washer, maybe #369 spacer, but you would have to ask someone like Pete Smith to be sure. Firing it 'dry' is not a suitable method. Dan
