Hi
an anybody tell me how to remove the neck strap eyelets and where to get new/used ones (can I use some from another Nikon)? Thanks in advance Harry F 6928339 |

Hello Harry
You must remove the top plates of the camera on both sides, they are held in with a screw. There are a few web sites that have the Nikon F Repair manual as a PDF file. The Strap eyelets from the F2 will fit and they have a hardened insert that never wears out these were also put on some Nikon F's. If you are going to replace the eyelets go with the ones with hardened steel inserts. You will never replace them again. You might want to try this post again on the main discussion board you might get more response. Someone should have a few of these. Rick |
