Stupid question no. 163 (parts a, b and c)
Can Nikon F shutter mechanisms be dropped into S3/SP rangefinders? I've got two parts Fs as well as a complete working F and if I needed to replace the cloth shutter in one of my rangefinders could the swap be made? Are there any model restrictions based on date of manufacture that would make the swap difficult or impossible? And would it be only the curtains that could be swapped, or is it the entire mechanism?
