What would be a good idea for my next lens purchase for the D90 ? Also I have a Nikon N4004s with the 35-70 AF Lens. What are some other lens you might suggest for that camera too. I like to take photographs for landscape-watercolor painting ideas. I also like to take close-ups of flowers. Here's a example of a photograph I took with the D90. This is one I took with the N4004s:

The depth of field with a long lens could make images more interesting. If shutter speed and low light is not a problem, you don't need to get the fast lens (f2.8 or f4), get the one in $300 to $700 range. God bless!

Invest in a Tripod, not a lens: it will force to position your camera like any painter would positionn his/her canvas. For close ups: look around for any 60mm 2.8 Micro Nikkor lens, or 105 if you want a longer working distance. Regards, Gilbert

I just wanted to add another lens for my D90 sometime and be able to shoot pics of birds and deer from far distances away. Something that would compliment the 18-105 vr lens I got with the camera. I called my local camera store and they told me the 70-300 vr lens would be a good one to purchase. They said they went up in price to $590.00 I looked online and see most are around $530.00 What price have you seen this lens at and should I order it online ? If I do ...where would you order from ?
