Do you know the story of the M red sync version (I guess it is called 'red eye' as well...)? I have seen a few of them so far, all with S/N 60935xx.
How many were manufactured and when? Do they represent the first 'bright chrome' bodies?

The "Red Synch" cameras start from the number you mentioned and they go as high as 60945xxx, well into the the Nikon S numbers. Although not all have
red synchs. Yes all "Red Synch" cameras have the bright chrome.
