At over $3000 it is getting a little silly. There are so many others out there in better shape that putting that kind of money into this one doesn't make
sense. Makes one wonder what a really nice one would go for.

I have never understood why rangefinder collectors pay so much for their collection. Old age with too much money? I wouldn't pay $400 for this camera.
Maybe the buyer has a mint one, and wants an ugly one to complement it. |

Robert - I've emailed you if you really do have a black SP for sale.
I've toyed with buying one, then I swore never to buy a camera just because it's black, then daydreamed about buying an SP-2005 kit, and so-on. Must be like a recurring fever. Wish I could cure it, and I don't mean "just get over it and buy one". And to be honest, I have made myself one, with an SP that has ugly engraving. But it would still be nice to have an authentic one. Not willing to pay $4k for one as ugly as was listed. But, $4k for a nice one.............? Vick |
