It needs some discussion whether the F3 is classic camera as the collection item, but there might be no discussion
that the F3 is one of mile stone in the NIKON history. There are several special types of F3, for instance, titanium champagne gold F3 with matched SN lens in
the wooden box, been 300 special order. Of cause NASA special ordered F3s also exist. Those are well known special ordered F3. There are also two special
ordered F3s, but not widely known. One is F3 LAPITA 2000 MEMORIAL EDITION and the other one is F3/T-Classic. F3 LAPITA 2000 memorial was
made by the order of Japanese publishing company, Shogakkan, publishing monthly magazine LAPITA. The production number was only 100. Special feature of F3
LAPITA is that the camera body has green line at the hand-grip instead of red. SN starts L 0000001 and ends L0000100. All are sold out. F3/T-Classic with
matched SN number lens was made by the request of Ando & Co. Camera Shop in celebration of the 50 years anniversary of shop opening in 2000. The body is
regular black colored titanium and the SN is engraved both on the right back of body shoulder and on the titanium base-plate too. The SN on the body shoulder
is white but the one on the base plate is just been engraved in black. Production number was also 100 as same as F3 LAPITA 2000. SN starts T 5000001 and ends T
5000100. The Ando & Co. still has several in storage. The shop owner said only 4 or 5 are still sitting in the backyard storage. The price is Yen 390,000
plus VAT(5percent). I cannot help you for this shopping because I am so busy, but if you have friends in Japan it might work.
