Yes, the explanation says there's a body and lens serial number written on the box.
Dunno how much it'll go for.... boxes mystify me

Yes, the explanation says there's a body and lens serial number written on the box.Sold for $275, not much, actually. The serial numbers were written on by the dealer, not Nikon. They would do it when they threw away the outside box. Kills the value, but if written in ink, the number can often be removed, using ink remover or bleach Very few camera boxes have numbers on them. Many lens boxes do.
