Good morning,
Simple question. I just bought this lens from eBay and found the aperture prong is missing. Is this a problem? I mainly use FM3a, F3 may be D200 in future.

the fm3a, f3 and d200, don't use the prong, (meter coupler) if you use the lens on a F or F2 with a meter you will need to prong,

Thanks Jim,
Is this altered after purchase or some lenses come without a meter coupler? I wonder why it is removed? |

Chaminda,
If you need such a prong for a lens that lost one or has a damaged one, it is obvious that you cannibalize a lens that doesnot need it.Most of these lenses were sold in the F3 era, and the cameras of those days did not need them.
