The splitters actually work very well. Pentax made one also. There is some softness between the two images but not much.
Once put in a viewer you will never see it. Making old fashioned stereo cards is really easy on a computer. |

There is no need for a viewer, with stereo prints. Just relax both eyes, and the two images will merge into one stereo image. It took me a whole evening to achieve this, but once learnt it's for life.

I have tried doing that, but I am so nearsighted that I just cannot get it to work. But there are still stereo viewers for sale.

They paid far more for it as I remember. Note they would not accept 39k, which is probably a record for eBay.
