Posts: 19 (05/05/2008 01:42 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Dear collectors, A few weeks ago I purchased a chrome Nikkor F, serial # 7020407 for german market with FTn finder, serial # 765984. I guess the serial # for the finder is too high to match with the body. I suppose the chrome part with "Nikkor" engraved was attached later on to a common FTn finder with this high serial #. If so does this fact decrease the value of the complete camera ? What is your oppinion ? Thanks for any help concerning this matter. Best regards Wolfgang

That may be the original finder that came with that camera. WES

It would match a Nikon F in the serial number range between #7250xxx and #7290xxx. There were no longer any Nikkor F cameras produced at this time. For your camera #7020407 a Photomic FTN in the serial number range between #520xxx und #540xxx would be matching. I guess somebody has switched the Nikkor front plate on a nicer Photomic finder, just to get more money.
