Hello Akiyama-san;
I loved the Sept 15th. layout, and in particular the boxed lenses for their Profile Projector. I have the box for these projector lenses but alas....it was missing most of the lenses inside. I did, however, have some of these lenses. I was also interested in the 12x NIKKO "Fortress" binoculars. Fascinating! They would look great in my NIKKO collection (grin!), but I think they are very rare. Interesting to note the lever to insert the recticle, a feature I've never seen on any binocular. Cheers, Mike |

Mr. Akiyan, I am trying to find an instruction manual and information on a Nikon theodolite that I have. I noticed that in a September 2005 Kenkyukai report
you mentioned a Mr. Neko or Neko-san that was a collector of Nippon Kogaku optical instruments. You showed a picture of an NT2 theodolite. The theodolite I
have is similar to the NT2. The only identification on the theodolite I have is "Nikon 75440" and an oval shaped paper sticker with red letters that
says " 720501 Passed Japanese Government". I am not sure about the 2 in 720501 as part of the number is missing. It could be 710501 or 730501 or
770501, or 780501, or 790501.

NIKKO Type 95 Rangefinder | ||
|
Hello Akiyama-san;
I was venry interested in the Type 95 Rangefinder as I have this exact instrument. Mine appears to be fully complete, as the one shown on the Nikon table seems to have some parts misisng. A freind of mine bought it in an Ohio Antique Mall and can you believe....carried it onto the plane for the flight back to Portland, OR. Imagine in this post 911 world, being able to do that these days! Incidentially this Type 95 Nikko Rangefinder will be part of the NIKKO exhibit at Con-11 in Vancouver, B.C. April 18th/19th. Cheers, Mike |

Does Nikon Kenkyukai Tokyo have any connection with Nikon itself, or even better: Nikon's own historian (I believe there is such a person?)
Apparently, it's very difficult to get Nikon Japan to reply to anything (is it a cultural thing?), making it extremely difficult to do any serious research. Thanks for maintaining a great site. It's always interesting to read your reports! Jarle |

Hello Jarle-san, Yes, Nikon Kenkyukai have some friendly connection with Nikon Corporation.
The question of the member of NHS is very difficult to answer.
When I question and the answer will get in five minutes, it is not interesting for me.
It is 5 minutes for one answer.
If this answer for your help, I am happy.
