I was wondering if it might be interesting to the Nikon community to put together a discussion thread on more common cameras in collections that have an
interesting history or background.
I realize that this is a large topic but perhaps one of interest to everyone. I was going over my collection recently and realized that cameras are usually collectible due to their rarity. However another interesting topic are the common cameras that have an interesting or obscure history.
For example, I have a documented Nikon F2AS that belonged to a prominent Playboy photographer, named Mario Casilli.
Even more obscure is a Nikon S2 that belonged to former entertainer Sonny Bono, who was an avid camera collector..
I'm sure there are many more interesting stories that people may wish to Cher, pardon the pun..
