Bob was here and we have made the exchange, all is well, YOU MADE ME HAPPY, Do you come to the NHS Convention next april in Vancouver ?? would be nice to meet, I owe you one. I have added with "my" back a nice sterling silver F5 clock (fully working) new and unpacked. Bob told me you will love. So please accept this as a special thanks from me Gonikon : you to I would like to thank personaly in Vancouver next year. Bob said : it is amazing, a couple of years ago you found a F2H "A" with not matching back, and afterwards you found the matching 250 MF1 "A" back (see NHS Journal nr 94) and now you find the matching back for your F2 Data !! Yes, I am lucky, but it is thanks to you to have taken the initiative to put this numbers on this forum. Hope this first exchange will be an example for others to share and exchange, it makes all of us happy have a nice weekend, mine will be. |

I love happy endings.
Stuff like this only happens on the internet. Think about it, if gonikon didn't start this thread....It works best when everyone contributes. I don't have a F2 DATA, otherwise I would be the first to publish my number. Kiu

We just got the lower recorded Nikon F2 DATA Body Serial#. Check it out at: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110198714289&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123
(Sover!)
...yes, I know that the picture is not clear enough, but the seller mentioned the #'s within the auction text. On the other hand, I asked the seller to email some clearer pictures and even know who is the high bidder (hello, Jack) Regarding that of the happy end, Kiu, I'm sure that it's just the biggining in the track to find more split sets

MF17 | ||

Avobe mentioned Ebay seller also shows 250 databack having the name MF17. What is the difference between MF11 and MF17?
|
|||
Sover |
MF17 | ||
|
The MF-17 is the data back for the MF-4. It's the same size as the MF-11, so it can fit into the MF-1. The clock module is quartz, instead of mechanical,
and the date module has 00-99 for year, instead of 91 maximum. It is possible to put the MF-17 modules into the MF-10/11.

MF-11 | ||

71083 is the lowest MF-10/11 I've recorded so far. 72697 the highest.

Sover thanks a lot for your qick reply. I completely misunderstood the 250 back for the F2 and F2/DATA. According to your explanation, MF-11 is just the 250
back without data printing door but normal back for the F2, and MF-17 is just the back door for the MF-11 enabling data printing.
|
|||

MF-11 | ||
|
MF-11 is the data imprinting back for the MF-1
MF-17 is the data imprinting back for the MF-4 MF-11 and MF-17 have the same dimensions, but the rollers are at different places. |

Sover,
Still I was wrong. MF17 is for the 250 back on F3. The one I saw was the F3/250DATA wasn't it? |
|||
Sover |
MF-17 | ||
|
The MF-17 is for the F3 MF-4 250 back, and not the F2 MF-1 250 back.
The seller on eBay put the F3 250 data back onto a F2 MF-1 250 back, probably lost the MF-1 back. When were you at Uni Bern? I spent 5 very happy years in Bern working for Ascom and Swisscom. |

MF17 on MF1 for F2 | ||

Sover,
I should be more carfull when I see the picture with explanations. I thought MF17 was the brother of MF11, which was made for some special request from someone. Althogh I have MF17 I forgot it. Probably one of the reason came from the big amount of variation of peripheral equipments by NIKON. When I was Bern in 1984 to 85, I frequently visited the PHOTOAntique in the celler at Kramgasse. The owner asked me let me to buy entire shop including the items. He offered me the price about 20,000,000 Yen. Unfortunately no NIKON was included in the shop and I did not buy it. It was also good time for me. |
