Noct-Nikkor - Which version is more collectible?

As per Bjorn Rorslett optically there are no major differences despite the differences in the aperture blades (7 vs 9). For usage I suspect it would be the AIS version because of the newer coatings etc. I have owned 3 AIS versions and they have all been perfect. I have never owned an AI version as yet. I presumed the more collectible version would be the AI version as it is rarer than the AIS version (2000 vs 9000 as per Roland Vink). However 2 of my friendly Nikon experts suggested it would be the AIS version. Just wanted to check which version is more collectible? Many thanks in advance!!! The last version is more popular as it fits more cameras, unless you have a very low serial number of the first version. I have never seen differences in images taken with both versions. Most people are mystifying this lens, because of its high price, hand polished front lens and rarety. I prefer the last version of the 50mm/1.2, which equals the Noct and - in some situations - is even better. nico

I definitely agree about the more versatility of the AIS version & its popularity for practical use. Does this correlate with the collectibility?
