Stupid question no.748
Could a BR-1 adapter be canniblized to make an S-F or F-S adapter, by unscrewing the mount pieces and then re-attaching them minus the tube? Anyone? Please and thank you |

If i have understand well BR1 is just a S-F adapter. If you want to realized an adapter to mount Nikon F lens on S Body you need for exaple: 1)the upper part
of an old Nikon F , also not original so cost is less, tube or duplicator. 2) An old and possibly broken russian lens 35 mm for kiew/contax. 3) A good
repairmen or a lathe and many patience for assemby the attach parts of the russian lens with the female parts of the tube or duplicator, and remember to
respect the focal plane distances.... It is difficult but possible.
