It's been a while since I've posed a stupid question, so here's one for today. Are the shutter button "pylons" and button assembly that
it holds, as well as the shutter speed dials on the F and the S3 interchangeable? Please and thank you.

I think yes. Can you define what the "pylon" is?
As for the shutter speed dial, you have to find the correct version of dial, for the number of screws. regards Vick |

The "pylon" for lack of a better word is the cylindrical structure that stands above the top of the camera and has the shutter button in its centre.

Ah yes, that is interchangeable with the F.

Ah the AR ring.
They are interchangeable -- HOWEVER -- they will not likely match. The AR ring supplied as parts for the F was thinner than the one from the S3, and looks different. They newer F style will match later SPs. |

I'm not sure what you mean by "match". Will they fit an S3 is really what I'm inquiring about. And not just the AR ring. What about the shutter speed dial and film advance assembly (the exterior part)? Please and thank you. Robert |

Match means they will not be matching finish or exact thickness to the original. Shutterspeed dial will fit.
