i have just picked up a microscope kind of a weird shape with nippon kogaku written on it also on the light holder it says made in occupied japan can anyone

Freeman send me some pictures. I think it is an incomplete Dioptometer from 1947 and later. That explaines also the MIOJ engraving.

I have no idea how many were made, but my one of these is number 910279 and marked MIOJ. I also have a couple of a later version, one in black and the other in
white, numbered 5205 and 7704. The later ones are not such a pleasing shape.
