I like the black one better, the lenses are much closer so you don't waste as much film. Was there a company putting these together or somebody make them
in the basement? John

I just saw the chrome one:

How does it work? As the film advances through to the second shutter curtain, wouldn't it get exposed again and ruin the previous image? Unless the film
advances so much that both frames pass through both shutter curtains after each shot. In thios case, it will take many strokes to advance just one
"frame". That will waste aweful lot of film though!
With the rangefinder version, you can view each 3D photo with the viewer to get the 3D effect. This particular design is totally pointless, you are better off to mount two cameras on a steel bar to achieve the same effect with less money and less film! |

I doubt it was modified so that one wind advances three frames. I guess the follow has to happen : - First shot - One wind, second shot - Two winds, third shot - One wind, fourth shot etc It's easy to forget the sequence though. Also, both the aperture and shutter speeds have to match.
Here's my stereo F2 : |

As I said before, why did he go through this much trouble when he could have bought 2 EL with winders, one steel bar, a double cable release. That's all
you need to achieve what he did!

Fully agreed.
Notice the chrome one has two shutter releases. So it needs a double cable release to trigger both shutter simultaneously. Ugh. The black one only has one shutter release, so it's better made. |

Actually, having two full size cameras side-by-side is not that good. For 50mm lenses, the separation has to be about eye-to-eye distance, about 70mm. For
longer lenses, the separation has to be greater, to achieve the stereo effect. I was surprised the black model has two 135mm lenses on it.
