About the black case, one of my black S2's came in a black case. Looks beautiful, black S2 with an all black1.4 lens and the black case. By the way, the case is lined with red velvet.

There was a black case, and in fact a black case was listed in the price sheets from EPOI And yes it appears to be a repaint. I would of course have to see it in person to confirm, but there are is a glaring inconsistency.

By the way , since we are evocating the black S2, do you know if there was a specific black case for this version or Nikon only offered the regular S2 brown case?

Well, okay, so now it appears the seller has a reputation of making variants of cameras.

The S2 looks like a chrome camera with spray-painted black. It is dead simple to do, and this one doesn't even look well done.

Pretty much certain now that it's a fake.

Very hard to tell only from photos, but on visual examination of web photos - fake.

I don't have my serial number list to confirm.

Friends, i used this post because item was just sell. My is only a collector curiosity.... i have lost an affair or bidder have take a fake... have a look at the photos of this black S2, a fake one or a bad restored one?
I will buy, have seen the bid after 1 minutes of incoming it, but i have had a big doubt, so another seller make the affair,or not?
