Match means they will not be matching finish or exact thickness to the original. Shutterspeed dial will fit.

The film advance lever is much more problematic. I have discussed this before, on the forum, but the bottom line is that cameras built before the F do not have
the same lever assembly, internally.

To use an F lever on an S3 usually requires changing the internal gear train. This is very easy to check. You remove the counter cover (three tiny screws on...

Fred,
I'm not sure what you mean by "match". Will they fit an S3 is really what I'm inquiring about.
And not just the AR ring. What about the shutter speed dial and film advance assembly (the exterior part)?
Please and thank you.

Ah the AR ring.

They are interchangeable -- HOWEVER -- they will not likely match. The AR ring supplied as parts for the F was thinner than the one from the S3, and looks
different. They newer F style will match later SPs.
Thank you for your kind offer, but if I do decide to have it done, I'll just get Mr. Fung to do it for me, as he's just ten minutes away from where I

I think yes. Can you define what the "pylon" is?

As for the shutter speed dial, you have to find the correct version of dial, for the number of screws.
