I think we have kind of beaten these reproduction cameras to death (yes they keep getting cheaper, and will get much cheaper, DUH!), I am more interested in the prices of classic collectibles.

If the Japanese market is collapsing faster than the US market, then a buy in Japan -- sell in the US window, is open for dealers. This imbalance has existed for many years in the US to European market. The main difference between the markets is that Japan imported hundreds of thousands of Japanese...

The seller states that the body has never been used. Always a plus for finicky buyers. I reckon it will sell for about 150,000 yen. If it was used, even only slightly, you could knock 10,000 to 20,000 off that figure.

Who could possibly know where this is going in such a closed/controlled market. I have not been following Yahoo, what is the ratio between private sellers and dealers? Does Yahoo mark the end of the dealers only market in Japan, or is it just more of the same?
