Fair pricing of SP rangefinder?

As the title indicates what is the fair market value of a good - excellent grade SP with a standard 50/1.4 SC also in good to excellent grade? I know that the market is whatever someone is willing to pay but what is an agreeable price that these cameras usually would bring? thanks, Mike

I am new to NHS though I've been collecting & shooting for years. I've been looking at S2's, SP's & S3's for awhile but am afraid of getting into something that I'm not familiar with. Is this a real EL-F adapter

The seller is implying that this is a real EL-F adapter : "this is a factory made piece" -- but which factory.

It does appear to have a well machined stainless steel male F bayonet.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to identify a real EL-F adapter? Do they say "EL-F" on them?

I suppose there isn't a lot of interest amongst collectors in early F lenses. These 2 didn't sell for very much on eBay... or I suppose most collectors don't really look for stuff a lot on eBay? What do y'all think?

Saw 2 of these just now on eBay and I'm still wondering how prevalent they are (do you guys tend to agree with what Stephen Gandy surmises on Cameraquest about 1000 made?)... I know some fakes turn up too and you guys are pretty good at spotting them so I thought I'd link the ads here. Personally I'm surprised Nikon made any black F's in the first 1000 but Gandy says he has one of those. One of the posts is a pretty steep starting bid but I understand this stuff is all so rare...

Almost $1K now. And it isn't even the "50/1.1" version.

Why doesn't that ever happen to me? I had a 50/1.1 version, with the brown outer box, with even some of the cellophane on the inner box intact, and it sold for half the current bid, a couple years ago.

glass is totally clean, the lens overall I would call very good with some surface wear, smooth focusing and a very slight play somewhere I guess where the lens shifts and rotates. not sure about the asking price of course so if anyone would like to weigh in that would be great. offers welcome also...

As I was searching eBay for Nikon stuff, I came across this auction which look very normal. Then I noticed that 2 of the images posted on this auction were mine(Black DE1)!! This seller was using images from at least 2 auctions to combine on his auction. When I was listing my auction, I was in a big hurry so I did not put my usual watermark on my images. I ususally keep to my Nikon SLR equipment with which I am much more familliar, but this lens was to pretty to pass up for what I paid for it. I figured that I would probably just sell it on Ebay, but was wondering if anyone here had any input as to its value or any other info on it.
