unusual self timer on SP

anyone ever seen a self timer lever like this one on an SP before?

i'm guessing that a part from an F was used to replace the original part, but it seems rare even for an F part.

Nikon F2 with F eye-level?

To my understanding most finders are compatible between the F and F2, the exception being the Ftn finder that would need a slight mod.

My question is, has anyone used such a combo? F2 and F eye-level (DE-1)
Is the fit good? The reason im asking, is becuase ide like a standard prism without meter, but dont feel like throwing out the money for a F2 version of the DE-1.
Im not interested in collectible value or period accuracy. Just a standard prism.

Any complaints?...

A Nikkor 2.5cm was sold yesterday for 660 USD: 130336246061. Pretty user condition, no caps, no finder, still the glass looks good (the pictures are not very telling).

Yesterday I was not in the mood for bidding.
